Using the Member first Content tool to build early engagement

The Member First Content tool in your Community Management tab brings together recent first posts and comments from new members in one place. It gives you a simple way to welcome new voices, recognize early participation, and help members feel seen from the start.

A quick reaction can go a long way. You don’t need to reply to every post or comment, react when you want to acknowledge someone, and reply when you have something meaningful to add.

The page shows the 10 most recent first posts or comments from the last seven days.

How it works

  • React to an individual post or comment: Select the reaction icon beside an item to welcome that member one-on-one.
  • Reply directly: Select the reply arrow to add a welcome, answer a question, or continue the conversation. Once you reply, the item is removed from the list to keep your review queue organized.
  • Skip an item: Select the X beside a post or comment to remove it from your list without reacting or replying.
  • Select multiple members: Use the checkboxes beside individual items, or select Select all to choose every item currently shown.
  • React in bulk: After making a selection, choose a reaction from the bulk action bar to acknowledge all selected members at once.
  • Skip in bulk: Select Skip in the bulk action bar to remove all selected items without taking action.
  • Open the full discussion: Select a post or comment to view it in context before deciding how to respond.

Where to find it

On desktop, find Member First Content in the Community Management section of the left sidebar. On mobile, open the three-line menu, then select Community Management.
