The Member First Comment tool gathers first-ever comments from new members in one place. This makes it easier to quickly welcome people, respond to early participation, and help new members feel seen.
How it works
- Use the checkboxes to select one or more comments.
- Choose a reaction from the top menu to apply it to all selected comments at once.
- Once a comment has been actioned, the icon on the right will fill in as confirmation.
- Clear your selection to choose a different group of comments and apply another reaction.
- Click any comment to open it directly in your community and view it in context.
- If you prefer, you can use the reaction icons on the right side to react to comments individually.
Replying to comments
You can also reply to comments directly from this page:
- Click the Reply arrow on the right side of a comment.
- Type your response in the reply bar that appears.
- Click the arrow to post your reply.
Once you’ve replied, the comment will be removed from the list.
The page displays up to 10 first-time comments from the past 7 days. As comments are actioned and the page refreshes, additional comments will be loaded automatically.
You can easily find and action these posts in the Member First Comment tab your Community Management view in the left sidebar. On mobile, open the three-line menu to access Community Management.
