The “Invite” tab in your Community Management view provides a private link you can share with your most engaged fans so they can join your community immediately as Community Leaders.
As a reminder, Community Leaders help set the tone for your community. They can welcome new members, start conversations, answer questions, and model the kind of participation you want to see in your community. Leaders also receive a special profile badge and access to leader-specific discussion categories, as well as an exclusive Community Leader chat channel.
Where to find your Community Leaders invite link
1. Open your Raptive Community.
2. Navigate to Community Management (in the web left sidebar, or via your mobile hamburger menu ☰ ).
3. Select the Invite tab.
4. Find the Community Leaders invite link.
5. Select Copy link, then share it wherever you find your most engaged fans.
Who should I invite?
Start with the people who already show up consistently for your brand. The best Community Leader candidates might include:
- People who frequently reply to your newsletters
- Frequent commenters who ask thoughtful questions or people who tag you in their social stories
- Helpful members from your existing audience or Facebook groups
- Personal connections
You can send individual invitations directly to your audience inviting them to be a Leader, however, creators often find success by sharing the invitation to their social stories, posting the invite in their Facebook group(s) or Instagram broadcast channel, or sending emails to a targeted list of highly engaged subscribers.
What happens when someone uses the link?
When someone clicks on your invite link, they will be prompted to either create a new account or sign in if they already have a Raptive Community account. Upon joining, they immediately gain a custom profile badge and exclusive access to restricted leader-only sections of the community.
What should I know before sharing the link?
Your Invite tab shows important details about the link, including how many people can redeem it and when it expires. This link must be refreshed once it has redeemed 100 times or after X days, whichever comes first.
Because this link is specific to Community Leaders, use it only for the fans you want to invite to that role. To promote your community more broadly to your full audience, use your community site URL (e.g, community.raptive.com/YourCommunityName).
Sample message to send to a potential Community Leader
Hi [Name],
I’m getting ready to build a new community, and I immediately thought of you. You’ve been such a thoughtful and engaged part of my network, and I’d love to invite you to join as one of my first Community Leaders.
As a Community Leader, you’ll receive special recognition for the part you play in shaping this space, including a profile badge, access to leader-only community areas where I’ll be checking in with exclusive content just for you, and the opportunity to be recognized as one of the first people helping guide [brand/community name] culture and direction from the very beginning.
In this role, you’ll help welcome new members and share your story. Your voice and insight will mean so much in helping make this community feel warm, and welcoming from the start.
