Applying to Raptive with Google Analytics

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Raptive!

Below you’ll find some FAQs around the Google Analytics authorization required to complete your application. If your question isn’t answered, please reach out to info@raptive.com, and we’ll be happy to chat more.

Can I complete an application without providing a Google Analytics authorization?

To submit an application, a ‘read-only’ authorization of your Google Analytics account is mandatory. We use your Google Analytics data to review your site’s traffic and confirm that it meets our ad partners' requirements.

What does this authorization allow Raptive to do?

This authorization does not provide Raptive with any editing permissions in your Google Analytics account. It allows us to pull only relevant Google Analytics data into your application. This data allows us to thoroughly review the data and confirm that your site meets our requirements and we’ll be a good fit for monetizing your traffic.

Who else do you share this data with?

Absolutely no one. Our purpose for viewing this data is strictly to review your application, and we do not share that data with anyone else.

What data are you reviewing?

When we receive a completed application with the required Google Analytics authorization, we look at the full picture of your traffic so we can best determine if we’ll be a good fit for your site. This includes:

  • Pageviews
  • Sessions
  • Pages per session
  • Country demographics
  • Time on page
  • Top posts
  • Traffic sources

What are Raptive’s traffic requirements?

In addition to high-quality content, here are our traffic requirements:

  • A minimum of 100,000 monthly pageviews within the last 30 days
  • Traffic is coming mainly from US, CA, UK, AU or NZ

I’m trying to add the Google Analytics authorization, but I get an error. Why?

If you receive an error when trying to authorize your Google Analytics account, it’s most likely because you have Universal Analytics instead of Google Analytics 4. This specific error looks like this:

“Oops! It doesn’t look like this Google account has a Google Analytics account associated with it. Please try another email.”

Currently, our application requires Google Analytics 4. To complete your application, you’ll need to set up your Google Analytics 4 account. You can find directions for that here.

How can I remove the Google Analytics authorization?

We encourage you not to remove the authorization until you have received a decision on your application. Removing it before that point will delay our ability to finish reviewing your application.

Once you’ve received your application decision, you can remove our authorization by following these directions:

  • Make sure you are logged into the same Google account that you use for Google Analytics
  • Navigate to this page in your Google account
  • You should see Raptive listed as a third-party app
  • Click on that, and select ‘Remove access’
