Will I receive a 1099 from Raptive?

Whether you receive a 1099 from Raptive depends on how you’re paid, your tax setup, and how much you were paid during the year.

This article will help you determine what to expect.

Note: We’re not tax professionals and can’t provide tax advice. This article explains when Raptive issues a 1099 and where to find your records.

You will receive a 1099 from Raptive if all of the following are true:

  • You have a current W-9 on file in your dashboard

  • You were paid $600 or more during the calendar year

  • Your business is not an S-Corporation or C-Corporation (including LLCs taxed as S-Corps)

  • You did not receive all payments via PayPal

If all of the above apply, your 1099 will be issued in mid-January and delivered electronically via Track1099.

Next step: How can I access my 1099?

You will not receive a 1099 from Raptive if any of the following apply:

S-Corporations and C-Corporations

The IRS does not require 1099-NEC forms to be issued to S-Corps or C-Corps (including LLCs taxed as S-Corps).

You can still download a full payment history from your dashboard for your records.

PayPal payments

If you’re paid via PayPal, Raptive does not issue a 1099 for those payments.
PayPal is responsible for its own tax reporting.

Less than $600 in payments

If you were paid under $600 during the calendar year, a 1099 is not required.

International creators

International creators who submit a W-8 do not receive a 1099 from Raptive.

Multiple sites or tax IDs

Raptive issues one 1099 per tax ID, not per site.

  • If multiple sites use the same tax ID, payments are combined on one 1099

  • If different sites use different tax IDs, you may receive more than one 1099

If your tax situation changed during the year

If you changed any of the following during the year:

  • Tax ID (SSN ↔ EIN)

  • Business structure (Individual ↔ S-Corp/C-Corp)

  • Payment method (PayPal ↔ non-PayPal)

  • You sold your site mid-year

Your 1099 will reflect only the payments made while you were eligible to receive one.

This is expected and usually does not require a correction.
