Raptive Creator API

The Raptive Creator API is currently in beta. If you’d like to join the beta group, submit a ticket to let us know!

The Raptive Creator API allows you to share your Raptive dashboard data with third-party tools, so you can view and present your data the way you want.

Common use cases of our API include:

  • Data portability for AI agents and third-party tools
  • Automating data feeds for custom dashboards, workflows, and accounting
  • Creating permissioned views based on performance signals without exposing earnings data
  • Including Raptive performance alongside other business data for a full picture of your monetization efforts
  • Portfolio-scale reporting for creators and publishers with many sites

Get started by creating API tokens via the interface in your dashboard. In Account Settings, you’ll find the Raptive Creator API tab:

Give your new token a name and click “Create token.” You will see an inline box that contains your Client ID and Client Secret, both of which you’ll need to connect your third-party tool to the API.

The Client Secret will not be shown again, so be sure to copy it and save it somewhere.

Each user can have up to 16 active API credentials. Credentials expire 365 days after they are created unless they are revoked first.

You can delete any API tokens you create. This will immediately block the token from exchanging or using API access.

Use our public API documentation as a reference to call the Raptive Creator API via third-party tools.

Who can access the Raptive Creator API?

Access to the Raptive Creator API is linked to your Raptive dashboard user and permissions. This means that any user can create API tokens, and each user will be able to access the sites and data via the API that they currently have access to via their dashboard.

What can I do with the Raptive Creator API?

Our API can be used in a number of useful ways, like the common use cases mentioned at the top of this article. Many creators and publishers want to view their Raptive performance alongside other business data, and many choose to create custom dashboards that allow them to organize their data in a way that best supports their workflows.

What’s included in the Raptive Creator API?

You can access the data found in the following dashboard reports via the API, as long as your user currently has permissions to view these reports in the dashboard:

  • Earnings Overview
  • Performance by Page
  • Performance by Traffic Source
  • Performance by Country
  • Performance by Category
  • Traffic

We plan to make additional data available in future releases.

Do I need to use the Raptive Creator API?

Nope! If you’re happy with the reports and tools that are already available within your Raptive dashboard, you may not have a need for the API. It’s an optional tool that we’ve chosen to provide, for creators and publishers who want to get more sophisticated with their data analysis.

Can you help me use the API to create custom dashboards?

Raptive does not officially provide support for third-party tools. If you are not familiar with using an API, we suggest reaching out to a developer to help you. The Raptive Facebook group is a great place to connect and get recommendations.
