Optimize Players for Earnings is an option in the Ad Preferences section of the Raptive dashboard. Turning this option on will allow Raptive to optimize the length of your video content and pre-roll ads for each pageview, helping you maximize the earnings from your Sticky Playlist and Sticky Related players. This allows you to show more video ads per pageview and can help you increase RPMs by an average of 5%. This can be especially beneficial for shorter site visits, particularly those 60 seconds or less.
Best of all, you won’t have to make additional space for more ads, since this happens in the Sticky Playlist and Sticky Related players that are already on your page.
This may result in more or fewer ads before content. However, content will always have at least as much playtime as ads, keeping your site compliant with advertiser and Google policies at all times.
You can turn this off at any time with the Optimize Players for Earnings option in your Ad Preferences.
