Optimizing your Video Player for Earnings

Shorter visits to your site don’t have to mean lower earnings. Optimizing the length of your video content and your pre-roll ads can help maximize your earnings on every pageview with your Sticky Playlist and Sticky Related players. This feature is currently available for your mobile site and allows you to show more video ads per pageview. This is especially beneficial for shorter site visits, particularly those 60 seconds or less.

Best of all, you won’t have to make additional space for more ads, since this happens in the Sticky Playlist and Sticky Related players that are already on your page. By showing two ads up to a total of 60 seconds before content of at least 60 seconds rather than one ad for up to 30 seconds before content of at least 30 seconds, you can ensure that you’re earning the most money possible, even during short visits.

Your content will always have at least as much playtime as ads, keeping your site compliant with advertiser and Google policies at all times.

You can turn this off at any time with the “Optimize Players for Earnings” option in your Ad Preferences.
