What can cause conflicts with Raptive ads?

We always want to help you earn as much as possible from your Raptive ads! Sometimes, other plugins and code on your site aren’t compatible with Raptive ad technology and can sabotage your ad earnings.

3rd-Party Ad Code Adjustments

Allowing a 3rd-party to make changes to your ads can really hurt your ad earnings.

For example, we've seen some developers implement their own deferred loading method, costing publishers lots of money. Instead, we have our own Deferred Ad Loading we can set up for you at any time and it's optimized to protect your ad revenue! Just ask.

Complianz | GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent

This plugin may shut off the ad scripts that our plugin tries to load and block the Google Ads script that is the pipeline for your ads.

Create by Mediavine

Unlike many other recipe and how-to plugins, the Create by Mediavine plugin does not allow you to embed your Raptive-monetized videos inside the recipe or project card for SEO schema benefits. We recommend choosing another option that allows you to take full advantage of video schema for SEO.

Elementor

The Elementor WordPress Page Builder can cause ads to load in the editor, causing formatting issues. We can disable ads in Elementor for logged-in users with a code snippet to prevent this issue.

Your content ads are also set up using specific page elements, and Elementor can change that page formatting, preventing content ads from loading. This is an easy fix for our team!

In either case, just let us know if you start using Elementor and we’ll be happy to check things out for you!

UI Libraries and Platforms

Raptive supports single-page application sites custom-built with React technology and on the Next.js framework.

Other frameworks, including GhostJS, Vue, Angular, and Discourse are not currently supported. If you are considering switching to one of these frameworks, please reach out to us, and we will be happy to help.

Iframe Lazy Loading

Raptive ads load in iframes, so avoid iframe optimization or iframe lazy loading settings inside plugins like WP Rocket.

Other Ad Networks

Ad code from other ad networks may not be compatible with your Raptive ads and can impact earnings and undermine your site’s reputation with premium advertisers. Please consult with the Raptive team so we can make sure additional ad code is compatible!

Playbuzz

The Playbuzz plugin can overwrite your Raptive ads.txt file, hurting your ad earnings. If you are considering integrating with Playbuzz, please consult the Raptive team on implementation so we can ensure your ad earnings are protected.

Rocket Loader

Cloudflare is a great CDN (Content Delivery Network) option, however the Rocket Loader setting conflicts with Raptive ad code and impacts your ad earnings. If you use Cloudflare on your site, turn this feature off in the settings.

Shareaholic

Shareaholic can add additional ads to your site that hurt your Raptive ad performance. Make sure ads are turned off inside Shareaholic settings.

Vuukle Comment System

Vuukle ads hurt your Raptive ad performance. Disable ads within the settings or use another comment plugin.

WP Rocket

If you're currently using WP Rocket to optimize your site, we recommend adding the following list of exclusions in the WP Rocket File Optimization settings to prevent your ad scripts from being optimized:

adthrive

adthrive.min.js

ads.min.js

Head over to WP Rocket > File Optimization > JavaScript Files to add these exclusions in the following settings, if you have them enabled:

Be sure to save your changes after making these updates!

Other WP Site Optimization Plugins

There are other WP site optimization plugins that can have an impact on ad performance and earnings. We recommend configuring your specific WP site optimization plugin to prevent your ad scripts from getting optimized. Check out our guide here for a list of plugins and detailed instructions on how to add the exclusions in various plugin settings.
