We set all ads to open in a new tab by default across the entire Raptive network.
However, advertisers do have the ability to set ads to open in the same tab, which can override our settings.
These days, the click-through rate for display ads isn’t very high, and many advertisers focus on awareness or brand advertising versus action-based advertising.
So while clicking on an ad can occasionally take a reader off of your site, the majority of the ads on your site open in a new window.
