Video on Raptive Community

Sharing videos in your community is a great way to engage with members, showcase your brand, and build authentic connections. 

Videos are an exclusive feature for creators and their most engaged members, and they’re easy to add to any post. Use the Upload Media button at the bottom of the post composer to upload a video up to 500 MB.

Troubleshooting video uploads

If you receive an error while uploading a video, check the following:

1. File size: Videos must be 500 MB or smaller.
2. Video format: Community supports videos encoded with H.264 video and AAC audio. On a Mac, open the video in QuickTime Player and press Command + I to review its file properties.
3. HEVC videos from iPhone or iPad: Recent iOS versions record in HEVC (High Efficiency) by default, which Community does not support. Convert an existing video on a Mac:
   1. Open the video in QuickTime Player.
   2. Select File → Export As → 1080p.
   3. Choose Most Compatible in the save dialog.
   4. Upload the exported copy.
4. To ensure future recordings are compatible, open Settings → Camera → Formats on your iPhone or iPad and select Most Compatible rather than High Efficiency. This records new videos in H.264; it will not change existing recordings.
5. Multiple audio tracks: If the video is already H.264/AAC but still will not upload, it may contain multiple audio tracks. Re-export a clean copy in QuickTime Player, then try uploading it again.

Android devices typically record in H.264 by default, so no setting changes are usually needed.
